Home Alone

Todd is in California on business (or stuck at O'Hare Airport) so I'm home alone with Pixie, who is making pitiful noises downstairs. I just had dinner with Mom and Dad and they definitely have some cute pictures from Christmas and their trip to Georgia, but unfortunately they don't have a computer to be able to download them, so Courtney will have to do it. I don't have a lot of pictures since we just got our camera, but I'll see what I can find! OK, here are the only pictures I thought you'd be interested in: Todd and Pixie, and that's his brother Ryan with his girlfriend Jessie.

I found out one of my patients died today, which was kind of strange, he was young, but had a lot of medical problems, like many of my patients do. It is just sad and I wish I could have finished his partial denture. I bet it will happen many more times in my life.

Okay, I have to get this poor puppy, she sounds so sad. ik, vb..; That's from Pixie, she's on my lap now. Todd calls her the Junior Executive because she likes to sit on his lap while he works.

As far as interesting stuff in my life, I got called into the OR on Sunday night at 2am to extract 2 wisdom teeth, so that was fun, then I got home and got called back in at 7am to fix a girl's front teeth (she was drunkenly riding on her boyfriend's shoulders and fell and broke her front teeth off!) Ahh, the life of an emergency dentist.

That's about all from me, I'm just home alone!

Where is everybody?

Hello Family!

How is everyone doing? I am, as usual, studying. Actually, I am just getting ready to study, but thought I would update people about my life. I started taking boxing this week, and absolutely love it...it provides a nice outlet after studying and being in class for 10hrs. Yesterday, was the worst of the classes as we had 8 hours of lecture, and 2 hours of orientation. What a horribly long day! Today was very easy in comparison, as we only had 6 hours of lecture.

Last Friday it was 70 degrees out, so I actually hung outside and got a little sun. But have no fear, it then turned to 30 on Saturday, and today it is about 20 and snowing! I guess there is still some winter left afterall. What is it like in everyone elses neck of the woods?

It has been pretty fun here in Morgantown lately with our football team doing so well, and the basketball team climbing in the national rankings. With some luck, I might get to see them play a game one of these days. I am also getting ready to start my intramural basketball, so hopefully we will have a good season. It would be fun to be the champs of something!

How are Gabe and Pixie doing? Are the babies doing well? I haven't seen pictures, and I know that people have some. Is Gabe having a birthday party? Did he like his cake when Grandma and Grandpa were down in GA? And how are all the proud parents? I know that people had a lot of trips planned and such, so how were they? As soon as I go on a vacation, I will send you all sorts of pictures...of course that might be a couple years away.

Anyway, I am sure I have bored you all enough, and I need to do some studying seeing as I have an exam on Monday (I'll take all good luck wishes, and helpful prayers). Hope to hear from all of you soon.

Love and miss ya!

Back to the Grindstone

Hello All!

I know you are all sad to be back at work, but look at it this way: this was a 4 day week, then just one full week of work, then a short week because of MLK Jr Day. Plus some people get to go see the Purcell Family in Georgia!

Todd and I are planning some fun trips so we have something to look forward to. At the end of January we are going to spend a weekend in Ithaca to mark the 10 year anniversary of our first date (we've decided to upgrade from the pizza takeout place we went to and go to a nicer restaurant, Maxie's Supper Club). Then the first weekend in March we're going to Scotsdale, AZ for our friend Mike Shore's wedding, and then in April Todd turns the big 3-0 and we're heading to NYC to celebrate and go to Lee's wedding. So it should be a fun spring!

We had a nice New Years in Ohio with the Jirouseks! The good news is we got a new digital camera so we will be able to take more pictures to post here! I also ate some fried chicken and mashed potatoes at my favorite restaurant, Hartville Kitchen (www.hartvillekitchen.com) , and we got to see all the relatives. New Years Eve we had a party in the basement, like a big bunch of teenagers, and we got to see Max and Andrew and Kris, Todd's best friends from childhood. It was a great weekend!

Hope you are all having a good 2006 so far!

After Christmas Greetings!

Hello!

There haven't been any posts here in a while, so I thought I would drop a line. Being home for Christmas was great, and we all know it was all because of Gabriel ;)

Thanks for the presents and just hanging out...it was so relaxing. Unfortunately, it is back to studying around the clock for a few more months, but I guess I asked for it. If anyone has pictures they can post from Christmas, it would sure make for a nice break from studying for me. I have some pictures, but they are the old fashioned kind on 35mm, so I can't post them very well.

Hope to hear from you all soon.
